The main character in the Book of Acts is not the apostles, nor even Paul, but the Holy Spirit. Hence, we cannot read this book as historical narrative. When we read it with the Holy Spirit as the main character, Acts becomes a call to Christians to be open to the action of the Spirit, not only leading them to confront values and practices in society that may need to be subverted, but perhaps even leading them to subvert or question practices and values within the Church itself. 


WHAT TO EXPECT

Folks who have never attended church or those from different denominational backgrounds discover First Baptist is a place where they can start or continue their spiritual journey. Our church is ethnically diverse, which we consider to be one of our greatest strengths as we work together to serve Christ.

 

Visit our Welcome Center in the lobby and a member of our First Impressions Team will greet you and answer any questions you may have about us. You will receive a free gift with information about the church. 

 

Our service begins at 11:00am.
