Ministry Teams & Leadership
The Elder team & Ministry teams allow us to be more effective in reaching others for Christ and in conducting the business of the church. The Elder Team oversees all ministries of the church, provides guidance in fulfilling the mission statement and serves as governing body as required by law. A Ministry Team is any group of three or more people organized with the express purpose of carrying out the vision and mission of our church through meaningful service to others.
Ministry Teams are divided into Standing and Non-Standing Teams. Standing Ministry Teams are core teams the church deems necessary to carry out the mission and function of the church and therefore always will be an integral part of the Ministry Team system of Governance.

Fellowship
Fellowship is an important part of being a part of the family at First Baptist. Fellowship as reflected in the following verses is lived out through worshiping, studying and serving together.
25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25) and also 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin.
Fellowship as a means to share in each other's lives and have fun together is at the forefront during fellowship time following service and at numerous events including the mother and child banquet, Christmas cantata and annual church picnic, to name just a few.

Men
Band of Brothers (B.O.B.) is the name for the Men's Ministry of FCBY. We are a group of men committed to developing a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, each other and our neighbor. This is achieved through accountable and practical involvement in study, prayer, fellowship, service and leadership. ...set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
