We w
elcome you and your child to the Nursery, Toddler, or Preschool Room of the First Baptist Church of Ypsilanti. We believe each child is a unique gift from God and we take pleasure in providing a safe and comfortable environment for your child(ren) so you will be free to focus on the worship of God and the study of His Word. Care is provided Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings and for other events.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14)
Pioneer Club is our weekly program designed to help children understand and appreciate the unique way they are created by God. Meets Wednesdays at 6:30 pm during the school year. Bring your children so they can experience:
- an action-packed evening of songs & prayer
- Bible exploration & application
- skill building activities and games
Kingdom Quest is the name of Sunday School for our children. The kids gather in the lower level of the church which is decorated with your child in mind.
Is it our mission to lead children to the knowledge that Jesus is the Word of God and to nurture their life-changing relationship with Him and His people by teaching them to hear His voice, as they seek His face through praise, prayer and worship.
They are taught major Bible stories and concepts through the following kid-friendly multimedia workshops:

Amazing Bible adventures, cool crafts, great games, awesome music, and swashbuckling food! Grab your friends so everyone can get on board! Dinner served.
VBS (general info.)
- held the last week of July in the evenings monday through friday
- Dinner is served at 5:45
- Crafts, singing, story time and a short movie are ways that children learn the message of the week.
- The children help raise money which supports a mission project.
- Parents are invited on Friday to see how we were able to convey important Biblical truths in a creative and fun atmosphere.
